The park at Point
Nepean, part of the Mornington Peninsula National Park, is one

Dating back to the 1880Ős, the fortifications at Point Nepean served
in the defence of the Victorian Colony. Go back in time as you
explore the tunnels, gun implacements and look-outs of the old Fort
Nepean. Use your imagination, and the excitement of cannon fire and
the smell of gun powder can still be sensed.Pack a picnic lunch and
walk, cycle or catch the transporter to some of Australia's most
historically significant maritime defence stations.
